Our Story

JOURNEY is an award-winning Singapore brand under TOUCH Community Services that represents the creative talents of people with intellectual disabilities. Through this platform, the artworks of artists with special needs from TOUCH are recognised and shared with the wider public as well as corporates.

JOURNEY currently supports some 70 artists who will earn an income from the sale of their art, and gain access to opportunities for collaborations that showcase their talent and tenacity.

Our Recognition

JOURNEY was conferred the Enabling Innovation Award by SG Enable at the 2023 Enabling Mark Awards Ceremony for its innovative efforts to provide sustainable employment for its artists and collaborations with stakeholders to increase its reach.

Empowering Artists

JOURNEY Special Artists

Some 70 trainees with intellectual disabilities, known as JOURNEY Special Artists, attend TOUCH SpecialCrafts—a program that nurtures and showcases their talents and skills in the visual arts.

Through JOURNEY, they will earn an income from the sale of their artworks, thereby building their independence to support themselves.

Community Artists

In addition to our JOURNEY Special Artists, we collaborate with community artists with disabilities, providing them the opportunity to list their paintings for sale on our website.

This platform allows our Community Artists to showcase their creativity, earn recognition and income, and gain opportunities to collaborate with corporates, sharing their unique perspectives with a broader audience.

Sheltered Workshop

Our sheltered workshop focuses on ceramic handicrafts, where artists develop tactile and creative skills while producing beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces.

Fulfillment Centre

A dedicated group of JOURNEY Special Artists actively contributes to JOURNEY’s operations by taking on essential roles in order fulfillment. From picking and packing products to ensuring every order is prepared with care, these artists earn additional income while showcasing their abilities beyond the canvas, demonstrating their value as integral members of our team.

Road Shows

In addition to their operational roles, JOURNEY Special Artists also participate in roadshows, where they learn to promote themselves and the JOURNEY brand.

These experiences help them build confidence, develop communication skills, and connect directly with the public, showcasing their talents and sharing their stories.
